Today, we brought you a brief guide on the Android Disable Absolute Bluetooth Volume alternative. When different users find their Bluetooth-supported headphones or earbuds problematic, they often wonder if enabling or disabling this option would be helpful. Well! If you are such a user, this guide will help you figure that out. So, let’s begin:

What is Android Disable Absolute Bluetooth Volume?

To begin with, Android Disable Absolute Bluetooth Volume is a toggle option in Android Smartphones which allows the user to disable absolute Bluetooth volume. Now, you may not be familiar with the concept of Absolute Bluetooth Volume. For those who do not find technology tempting to read, they must wonder how Absolute Bluetooth volume is different from the regular volume options on their smartphone. Well! Here’s your answer:

By definition, Absolute Bluetooth Volume is a technical term used to describe the collaboration of volume options of both Bluetooth devices as well as your smartphone. Thanks to this absolute volume option, you can use your smartphone to control or readjust the volume of your Bluetooth device as well.

For example, let’s suppose you have connected your Android Smartphone to your digital TV for streaming purposes. Now, if the Android Absolute Bluetooth Volume is enabled on your smartphone, you will no longer need a tv remote to adjust its volume. You can use regular buttons on your Android to do so.

Similarly, in this technically advanced century, you can connect your android smartphone with any device that has Bluetooth. For example, digital tv, headphones, earbuds, laptop, gaming consoles, etc.

Because Absolute Bluetooth Volume sounds like such a useful feature, why would you disable it? Well! Each user has their reasons. So, before we go ahead and learn how to proceed with Android Disable Absolute Bluetooth volume, let’s take a keek at the reasons “why?”

Why should you turn off Absolute Bluetooth Volume?

For the most part, each Android Smartphone has an Absolute Bluetooth Volume option if it is manufactured after 2015. Users may not know about this option at all if it wasn’t disturbing the connection between the phone and the Bluetooth device, especially audio output.

Now, please note that the main reason to turn off or disable Absolute Bluetooth Volume on your Android phone is that it is not supportive of this feature. There are many signs that tell you that it is time to disable it. For example:

  • Whenever you connect with Bluetooth headphones or earbuds, it disables automatically and makes a persistent sound.
  • The audio output is extremely loud or extremely low.
  • You can listen to jarring noise in the background whenever you play any audio.
  • When your Bluetooth device’s (for example, Bluetooth speaker’s) volume capacity is possibly higher, but your smartphone’s limiting it because of control settings.
  • Audio cuts in and out every now and then.

Now that you know all the reasons for when you should disable Android Absolute Bluetooth Volume, let’s learn how to do it?

How to Android Disable Absolute Bluetooth Volume?

As mentioned before, each Android Phone manufactured after 2015 possibly has this option. Apart from this, in Android phones, Absolute Bluetooth Volume remains enabled by default. Thus, in the event that you are incorporating any problem with audio output whenever you connect your Android with any other Bluetooth device, here’s how you can turn “absolute bluetooth volume” off to resolve the issue. Because there are so many popular Android brands with unique user-interface, we present two methods to do it:

#Method 1: Use the Developers option to disable it in Android

What are developers’ options? If you are not much into applying science, you may not know this, but many features in Android smartphones are specifically designed and put by developers in order to support users’ choices. Thus, each smartphone has a section called the developer’s option, which the developer has enabled by choice. So, you can go to this section to directly turn off absolute Bluetooth volume. Here’s how:

  • First of all, access the “Settings” option from the App library.
  • Or, you can also tap on the cog icon from the top of the notification bar.
  • In the settings menu, scroll down to the “About Phone” option.
  • In some phones, the “About phone” option is replaced by other terms such as “my phone.” Thus, look out for the same.
  • Once you access the phone, scroll down to “Model number.”
  • Here, tap on this continuously seven times.
  • A complete list of developers’ options will open on the screen.
  • Scroll to the end, and you will see the “Disable Absolute Bluetooth Volume” option.
  • Turn this ON to disable Absolute Volume and vice versa.

It is possible that in a few Android models, the option says “Enable Absolute Bluetooth Volume.” In that case, you have to turn off the toggle.

In the event that your Android Smartphone does not have a developer option, you can go to the nearest service center and get assistance.

#Method 2: Disable Equaliser in iPhone to turn off Absolute Bluetooth Volume

Now, because the Absolute Bluetooth Volume feature was initially launched in Android phones, often iOS users think they do not have this option. However, our research made it pretty much clear that when an iPhone connects with a Bluetooth device, you can easily control and adjust the volume using the iPhone’s volume button on the sides. How’s that?

Well! Here’s a clear explanation. In iOS, the absolute Bluetooth volume option is not there. But, it has another option called “equalizer” or EQ. This option allows iPhone users to activate collaboration of audio outputs when they connect iPhone to other devices such as Bluetooth speakers. For example, if in the EQ section of iPhone music, you have selected the “classic” option, whenever you play any audio on your iPhone, as a consequence of enabling EQ, the classic sound will come out louder and more balanced.

Thus, whatever you have selected in the equalizer, will also impact the audio output of the Bluetooth device you have connected to.

In the event that you want to disable the absolute volume experience, you can disable EQ and vice versa. So, let’s find out for our iPhone readers how to disable equalizer:

  • Go to the “Settings” option from the iPhone App Library.
  • Scroll down to the “music” option. Please do not confuse this option with “Sound and Haptics.”
  • In the music menu on the iPhone, tap on the EQ.

  • Select “OFF” among all types of sounds.
  • Go back.
  • The settings will save automatically.

#Method 3: Turn off absolute Bluetooth volume in iPhone new series

As mentioned before, Android Smartphones have a direct absolute Bluetooth volume option. But, the case is distinct when it comes to the newest iPhone series. So, presuming that you are having audio output issues whenever you connect your iPhone to headphones, here’s a simple solution.

  • Go to the “Settings” App or cog icon from the App Library or notifications bar.
  • Next, scroll down to the “headphones and safety” option.
  • Here, move the toggle to the right for “Reduce Loud Sounds.”
  • Thus, whenever your headphone’s volume is over the top, create a jagar. This option will reduce it automatically.

#Method 4: Disable Absolute Bluetooth Volume on Windows PC

Similar to Android Smartphones, Windows PCs also have a hidden option to enable or disable Absolute Bluetooth volume. Let’s suppose you have connected Bluetooth speakers to Windows PC, and the audio output it delivers is cutting in and out. Then, it is best to disable this option because some Bluetooth devices do not support this feature. For example, if your Bluetooth device (such as headphones) has specific buttons to adjust volume, the absolute Bluetooth volume option enabled on Windows PC will create a disturbance. So, here’s an instructional guide on disabling or enabling this option based on your convenience of audio output.

  • First of all, access the registry editor on your PC.
  • To do so, go to the start menu.
  • In the search box, type “regedit.”
  • Under best results, tap on the “Register editor.” or right-click on it.
  • Next, enter the following key.

“HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Bluetooth\Audio\AVRCP\CT”

  • A new dialogue box will open on the screen. You will see multiple folder options on the right.
  • Scroll down to the option, Edit or create 32-bit DWORD Value. (If you are using 64-bit, replace the digit).
  • Next, change value data from 0 to 1. It will disable the option.
  • Similarly, if you want to enable it, change the digit from 1 to 0.
  • Save the settings.
  • Go back and restart your Windows PC.

#Method 5: How to change the absolute volume effect on macOS?

Apart from iOS, Android, and Windows, macOS is definitely challenging to cover when it comes to disabling absolute Bluetooth volume. The reason is, macOS’s language is quite unique. Terms are pretty different.

For example, let’s suppose you have connected your macOS to digital TV for Airplay purposes. Now, if the absolute volume is ON, you would not be able to adjust the volume on your TV. Instead, you will have to use a MacBook to change the volume from time to time which can be problematic. Similar case fit for other connectable Bluetooth devices like headphones. So, here’s a guide for you:

  • Tap on the “Apple icon” on the corner of your screen.
  • Next, go to the “System preferences.”
  • In the search box, type “sound.”
  • The sound option will be highlighted automatically.
  • Click or tap on it to enter the sound menu.
  • Now, go to the “Sound Effect” tap.
  • In here, select the “internal speakers option.”
  • Next, switch to the “Output” tab.
  • At the summit, you will visualize a complete list of Bluetooth devices you have connected your MacBook too, before.
  • Select the third-party bluetooth device for which you want to disable absolute Bluetooth volume impact.
  • Use the balance slide to the left to turn off collaboration between two devices’ volumes.
  • Or, you can also lower the output audio level to decrease the impact of absolute volume.
