Acer Aspire 3 (A315-53-317G) Design
The Acer Aspire 3 series has a lot of basic build quality and design, which is typical for laptops in this price segment. It is only available in black and the entire outer chassis is made of plastic, but it looks strong and does not look very cheap for horizontal strips on the lid and horizontal palm.
When the lid closes slightly flakes in the middle so you want to be careful about keeping anything heavier on this laptop. The laptop has a slightly curved side, so while not catching it, you do not realize any sharp edges.
The single hinge provides good torsion for the lid, when you use a laptop in a moving vehicle, it reduces wobbling. The lid also has the ability to lean 180 degrees backward, so you have good flexibility in using a laptop.
The 15.6-inch display on Acer Aspire 3 is a full-HD resolution (1080×1920) for a sharpness. This is a standard LCD panel, which means that vertical and horizontal viewing angles are not very wide. There is also a noticeable change in brightness and colors while displaying a display of axis. There are thick limitations around the display, but this is not a major complaint at this price especially.
Acer Aspire 3 is a good selection of ports. There are a total of three USB ports, two of which are USB 2.0 and one USB 3.0. You also get Gigabit Ethernet, a full-size SD card slot, HDMI and 3.5mm headphone and microphone combo socket. Laptops have two LED indicators on the left for power and hard disk activity. The battery is non-removable. On the bottom, there are plenty of air intake vents but you also get two quick-access panels for RAM and hard drives, which are very thoughtful.
The keyboard area is expanded on both sides of your palms with enough room. You get a full-size keyboard with a number pad. The keys of the chalets are well spread, and the soft touch reaction, so they are not the noise. Although there is no backlighting. The trackpad has a smooth texture and does not require much effort to use the left and right buttons.
Aspire 3 ships with box, 45W charger, and some manual. Overall, Aspire 3 has been made decently and our black review unit looks fine. It feels a bit heavy on 2.1kg and is slightly bigger to carry around comfortably.
Acer Aspire 3 (A315-53-317G) Specifications and Software
Aspire 3 comes with Intel Core i3-8130U, which is a dual-core CPU with hyper trading and base clock speed 2.2Ghz. Compared to its direct predecessor, Core i3-7130U, the new 8th generation CPU has a Turbo Boost that can dynamically increase the frequency of 3.4GHz. Since this is a budget laptop, we have to build it with an integrated GPU, which is Intel UHD 620.
This laptop has 4GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB mechanical hard drive, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth and VGA webcam. One of the bottom panels lets you reach a free RAM slot. According to the diagnostic tool CPU, the already installed 4 GB RAM module seems to be solder.
Acer Aspire 3 uses Windows 10 Home 64-bit, which comes with the normal Windows Store app. You also get some third-party programs like the 30-day trial version of Norton Security and the full version of Microsoft Office Home and Student Edition.
Acer also gives priority to some of its programs. The Care Center lets you check the health of your hard drive and battery, and keeps your system drivers up to date. You also get a full version of CyberLink’s PowerDirector and PhotoDirector for video and photo editing respectively.

Performance of Acer Aspire 3 (A315-53-317G)
Regardless of the SSD, the normal Windows display is not as bad as we were expecting. Windows takes some time to boot, but once everything is loaded, the experience is practical. There is a slight interval even between switching between apps, opening programs and even opening the menu in the Windows UI.
There is a lot to be decided by adding more RAM to it. Aspire 3 does not go hot either, and the exhaust fan is simply audible to actually run intensive tasks such as playing a tax-free 3D game or video encoding
Aspire 3 is not the best laptop for multimedia use. Although this is not the issue of running high-resolution video files, the display does not have vibrant color palettes. Due to narrow viewing angles, even animated movies did not look very attractive to us.
There is decent spatial separation from stereo speakers, but they do not get very loud. The webcam is another disappointment. The resolution is only VGA and the sensor is weak, is producing granular and blurry images in a well-lit room.
For a budget laptop, Acer does a great job at Aspire 3 Benchmark. Synthetic PCMark In 10 Tests, we got 2,318 points overall, and in 3 Dram’s Knight Ride Test, we got a score of 3,524. Laptops have performed well in real-world tests too. It took 7 minutes and 22 seconds to compress the 3.2GB folder of composite files using 7zip while using MKV to handle video encoding took 2 minutes and 52 seconds.
The Windows Store also runs superbly with the most comfortable 3D games like Asphalt 9: Legend Preset To With High ‘. Heavy titles did not play well, and we honestly were not expecting them either. For example, Tomb Raider has struggled to load correctly, even after dropping the resolution and graphics settings in all respects.
Acer Aspire 3 come with 4810mAh battery, which gives up to 7 hours of backup. In our heavy battery Eater Pro test, the laptop lasted 2 hours and 31 minutes, which is decent.
Playing a game takes a bigger stake in battery life, so if you are using this laptop mainly for web browsing or simple offline programs, you can get one or two hours of battery life.
Decision
At the time of this review, we should accept Acer Aspire 3 (A315-53-317G) at least Rs. 28,490 on Amazon, which is very good value. For this money, you have recently got Intel CPU, good build quality, a full-HD display, a comfortable keyboard, and decent battery life while doing a non-intensive work. Acer gives you easy access to RAM and hard drives, which is nothing like what we see in this segment many times.
Some of the things we wanted to do were better performance, which has poor color reproduction and narrow viewing angles, and a web camera, which produces sub-parallel images under good light.
If you do not want to spend too much on laptops, and your needs cover the only basic workload, then Aspire 3 (A315-53-317G) can be a good pick, especially if you can get one under Rs. 30,000.
