In the midst of uncertainty between India and China, the central government has taken a major decision. The Government has agreed to ban 59 Chinese Apps. The banned app also features the famous TikTok app. Besides this, there are several more common applications such as the UC Browser, the Cam Scanner, Xender and many more.
Indeed, Indian security agencies had prepared a list of Chinese apps and called on the government to ban these apps and ask people to remove those apps from their phones immediately. The reasoning behind this was that China has been able to hack data from India.

The central government banned apps which were made by Chinese companies. Implementing it in compliance with Section 69A of the Information Technology Act, the Ministry of Information Technology (Procedure and safeguard for Public Blocking of Access to Information) Rules 2009 and banning 59 applications in the light of the incidental nature of risks.
Why is the central government banning these 59 Chinese apps
India and China are in a strained state of affairs. Both countries’ armies stand facing each other. India has taken this big move meanwhile and made it clear that India will not bend at any point. 59 Chinese applications were banned by the central government.
Many of those applications are such that you can quickly locate them on any device. In its order, the government has clearly indicated that the use of such apps challenges the integrity and unity of India. In such a case it was determined that these 59 Chinese applications should be banned.
These 59 Chinese apps were a deadly assault on the power, security and dignity of Indian citizens. With the aid of those apps, China could have manipulated Indian data. Indian intelligence agencies had already prepared a list of these apps and submitted them to the government.
The government then took the information on these apps to their level and when they thought these apps could really dent Indian security, they decided to immediately ban them.
